I have been part of the UT San Antonio web team within the strategic communications department for over three years. Along with our director and team of developers, I manage and maintain the College Design Language System, which is the design system all college websites and some internal department sites are based on.

Together with the team I helped transition UT San Antonio to the new design language system built within a new Content Management System, Cascade CMS. The team updates and maintains the CDLS and all content held within the CMS, and we help train and support the communications teams from every school and department as they build out their sites.

Below are examples of the design system in action and other work I have done as part of UT San Antonio.

CDLS Asset Library

First iteration built within Adobe XD. Second iteration rebuilt in Figma. The CDLS continues to improve and expand over time. We have added Dark Mode support, image gallery components, and other additional functionality as our communications teams express the need for them.
